Halloween Recap

It was furriness as usual at FurCentral. We had about 30-40 folks show up. Unfortunately one of them was our local tard who I hoped wouldn't show up. He did, and I brought out the banhammer for the very first time. After all of the complaints I received after AlbuFURque, I just didn't want him around any more. I had prepared a big pot of chili con carne which I have heard contained the Flames of Hell. Ooops. Sorry. There weren't many trick-or-treaters, but I stood out on the driveway wearing Bad Bunny passing out candy to those that dared approach the pink nightmare. When the traffic of kiddies slowed to a crawl, I headed back to the fire pit to see how things were going there. Someone plopped a bottle of rye whiskey in my lap, so that was all she wrote for me that night. There was a little drama at this meet. An older fur who is an amputee started chiding Kitty that her surgery was nothing and that she just needed to get over it. Not cool. Another fur consumed way too many "Hey! I can't taste any alcohol!" drinks and had to be carted off to the hospital. So things were a bit wilder than usual.

In other news, I found something cool in our local alternative newspaper today. There was an advertisement for a city-sponsored Halloween party last Saturday. One of the pics used for "costume contest" was of Kitty, sophie_manx and another local suiter. It must have been taken a few years ago when we did an event in Old Town. I just thought that was pretty cool.
