On Sunday Kitty and I watched "60 Minutes" (yeah, we're old). There was a story about the El Faro, a container ship that was sunk in the Bahamas last year as it tried to sail through Hurricane Joaquin. Here is a video of the wreck found on CNN. This is really the "Edmund Fitzgerald" of this generation. You would think that in the 21st century with all of our technology and safety requirements that something like this could never happen in this day and age. And yet it did. I told Kitty that I predict there will be a movie made about this disaster in the next 5 years or so. The story is just so compelling. It was mentioned that judging from the damage that the ship sustained (the upper 2 decks were completely sheared off) the force of the storm that it encountered must have been incredible.
