We had a mini furmeet today to go see the movie. In all there were about 19 of us with only myself doing anything overtly furry with a set of ears. Pretty much everyone else had furry-related t-shirts. So what was my take on it? It truly was the ultimate furry movie. Ever since the trailer that defined the word "anthropomorphic" I knew this was going to be something special. It did not disappoint. The plot was well thought out. The uplifting, heartwarming message of avoiding stereotypes and following your dream was done just right without being preachy. About the only negative thing I could say about the movie was that I started to get "furry overload." I tried to take in as much of the universe as possible. I was constantly scanning the backgrounds for minor characters and/or cute little details of the Zootopia world. That's what defines me as a furry. It's not just a cute little world/universe. It's a world/universe that I want to live in. It is furiness at its core.
The only spoiler I will let loose is the scene involving the chemical lab. A few of us gave out a hearty laugh when the chemist called out to his henchmen/toadies named Jesse and Walter, a very nice homage to "Breaking Bad."
