Hoppy Easter

Kitty and I spent Easter with a bunny. No, not the one that delivers colored eggs. Judy Hopps! We finally saw "Zootopia" in 3-D. Thanks to the opening of another goddamn Batman movie, the theater was almost empty. I must say that I enjoyed the movie even more the 2nd time. The "furry overload" was more contained, but I was still constantly scanning the entire screen for every little detail I might have missed the first time. I could also soak up more of the details of the characters themselves. Damn! It really is a dark and complex story for kids!

Easter dinner was not ham, but prime rib. Our supermarket had them on sale so Kitty picked one up. I'm getting pretty good at cooking them. The cut may not have been as good as the one I bought for Christmas, but it was also less than half the price. Delish!

We actually DID have ham for dinner, but it was the night before. We had a little pre-Easter get together with several friends. The same supermarket had ham on sale for about $1.20/lb, so Kitty picked up a 10 pounder (a.k.a. The Big Ass Ham). I cooked it up while she made green bean casserole and homemade mac-n-cheese. We all stuffed ourselves and then had a rousing game of Cards Against Humanity. Scritch brought over a good bottle of bourbon which we polished off during the game. Good times!
