I might have posted something in the past that I am now to the stage in my life where I won't think twice about spending money for some sort of awesome experience. It might have been when I found out that Elton John would be playing locally and tickets were well over $100 each. It was a moot point when I couldn't even find tickets. Perhaps it was when I found out that John Cleese and Eric Idle were coming to town and plopped down money for tickets. It happened again this weekend. We were having breakfast at a local eatery and reading the local free alternative newspaper. Kitty saw that Elvis Costello was coming to town. Oh hells yeah! She then saw that jazz pianist Herbie Hancock was also coming to town. Oh hells yeah! So I got home and plunked down the money to get tix. Whoot! The other great news is that we found out 90's alt rockers The Verve Pipe will be playing at the zoo this summer. Oh hells yeah! Zoo concerts are great because you just find a seat on the lawn and have a nice picnic dinner. We've done it a few times and it is an awesome date night.
Oh, And I also saw that the touring company of "Book of Mormon" will be returning next year! Oh, Hasadiga Obowai!
