Temps are climbing into the 70's (almost 80 today!) and the trees are responding. Both apple trees started leafing out yesterday as well as the cherry. I'm not sure if the cherry will be putting out leaves or flowers. I'll probably find out when I get home today. The plum tree produced its first flower. This is way earlier than last year when it seemed to have leafed out before putting out flowers. One thing I noticed this year that I didn't see last year is bees! Last year I commented that I never saw any pollinators. This year I was checking out the gorgeous flowers on the peach and nectarine trees, and I heard buzzin (and I saw the little gals busy at work)! How pretty are the trees? Here's the nectarine. Ignore Fling cleaning herself at the base of the tree.
