Last night was a load of fun. I went in for a sleep study to see if I stop breathing during the night. It all goes back to the heart trouble. If you snore a lot or stop breathing, you're more likely to have heart problems. So I wanted to find out if I'm at a greater risk if my sleep is off. I'm a little leery about the whole thing because they seem to really want to sell you CPAP machines. I have heard they do work wonders for people, but if I can live on without having something strapped to my face every night, that would be a better option. I got all wired up and then tried to sleep. That was easier said than done. It's hard to get comfy when you have a dozen wires attached to your body. I think I did manage to finally drift off into some good sleep because I had a dream that the technician came in and told me the study was done but I complained that it was only 3 in the morning. Then I woke up. I guess my breathing wasn't all that bad because they were supposed to come in and put a CPAP on me if I stopped breathing more than 20 times. They didn't put one on me. So we'll see what the results are in a few weeks. Another medical procedure where I can say "been there done that." And now I'm at work trying to stay awake after my lousy night's sleep.
