Today I decided to brave a trip to Costco. I just needed a few frivolous items, but it would get me out of the house for a little while. I should have topped off the gas tank since the latest price is $1.19, but the line was too long for my tastes. The line to get into the store was probably around 50 yards long. It took about 10-15 minutes to get in, and this was just as the store had opened. The good news was that the shelves seem to be well-stocked. I keep reading about flour shortages, but not at Costco. There was something of a Walking Dead herd march towards toilet paper, but once again there seemed to be plenty. I thought I would pick up some frozen fish "just in case." There was plenty, but there was a restriction of 1 bag per person. Once again, everything seemed to be pretty well-stocked. I even picked up a bottle of bourbon "just in case." While they don't have their mandatory face-mask policy in place yet, I'd say about 99% of folks were wearing them.
Oh, and today was the first day I had to use the air conditioner in the house. Temps are around 90 today. The average high is supposed to be mid-70s. So much for spring.
