With stories in the news about spiking Covid cases and we're not even in the second wave yet, my paranoia told me to get a few more things at Costco to go into our "strategic reserve." So I dropped another $500 on supplies. Well, half of that was bourbon. And then we finally got a nice shiny new toaster to replace the POS that we have been living with for the past several years. Things were much more calm. No line to get in. Lots of merchandise on the shelves. I would say no panic buying, but there were quite a few folks like me with full carts. It just put my mind a little more at ease. I'm still nervous about the supply chain in case shit really starts to get real. Maybe 10 years from now I will re-read this post and laugh and say, "What was I thinking?!?" But for now I will err on the side of caution.
